Residential Refuse Collection Services

We offer residential refuse collection service in McKinleyville, Trinidad, Westhaven, Big Lagoon, and Orick. Residential curbside collection between the areas of Mckinleyville and Big Lagoon is done via automated curbside collection. All customers residing in this service area will be issued a wheeled garbage cart in the size of their choosing. In addition you will receive a wheeled 95 gallon recycling cart. Garbage collection occurs weekly and recycling collection is on a bi-weekly schedule. Please visit our Curbside Collection FAQ page for more information and answers to frequently asked questions.

For those customers residing north of Big Lagoon, automated service is not currently available. Residential refuse service is available weekly for collection, however the customer must provide the can. Cans may range in size from 20 to 45 gallons. Curbside recycling is not currently offered to customers north of Big Lagoon.
